Here are two projects we’ve recently worked on with The Royal Ballet and Opera
The Royal ballet and Opera - Outreach films
In summer 2025 we were contacted by Keely Morgan at Royal Ballet and Opera about a series of short animations based on their productions of Alice in Wonderland and the Magic Flute. It was a pitch situation, but we jumped at the chance. Why wouldn't we? Maria Samaniego started to put some designs together, but we also had Hannah Drummond and Maximilien Quaine interning with us and thought it would be good experience for them to help out. They not only helped, but also won us the pitch. Hannah's Mary Blair inspired designs and Max's dramatic and funny animatic got Keely, Ziad Dajani and Hayley Ryan very excited by the possibilities we could offer.
Production started and quickly ballooned. In terms of attention to detail this has probably been one of our most challenging projects. While we always had Claire Grey Gabi Muir Tony Comley and Patrik Kancsar in mind to animate the ten shorts, we also had to bring in Lauren Critchley Katie Mulrennan Russell Hicks Emily Dean Bee Joy and Shō Ogden to work on extra shots and ink and paint. Some were new to us. All were great.
The project was also becoming quite high profile as Karim Zeroual and Olivia Colman agreed to lend their voices to the animations and sign up rates from schools soared. Both exceeded any expectation we had when they recorded with Daniel Piggott at KORD.MEDIA and the team at Goldcrest Post London
I have to thank Keely, Ziad and Hayley for their incredible patience and help, as well as the chance to work on such a fantastic project. I had night terrors for the first time in years, but it was more than worth it.
