Dr Martens X Betty Boop

Betty Boop – Dr. Martens Project

In June 2021 we were commissioned by the Eleven Miles agency – www.elevenmiles.com to create a 15 second animation promoting a new range of Betty Boop themed Dr. Martens products.

As the project progressed, the duration of the film expanded to over 30 seconds and featured a mix of original archive footage and new animation of Betty Boop wearing the famous Dr. Martens boots.

The film was a real team effort, featuring specially composed music by Alex Light iamalexlight.com.

Backgrounds and additional illustrations were produced by designer Jessie Pritchard and additional design work for the Dr. Martens range was created by animator and designer Emilia Schneider.

The animation was produced and directed by Claire Grey.
